Kimberly Stewart – daughter of Rod Stewart – introduces her gorgeous baby daughter Delilah Genoveva in a recent issue of Hello! Magazine. Little Delilah was born on August 22nd and weighed 8lbs 10oz.

On finding out she was pregnant:

K: I was excited, of course! I come from a big family and have always wanted lots of kids. My family were very excited and supportive, and my dad was so happy that he started to cry.  

On the labour:

K: Delilah’s actual due date was on my birthday but she came a day later. The entire labour lasted about 17 hours – at around hour 16 I finally gave in and had an epidural.

The entire family, including Benicio, was at the hospital and my mom and Benicio were in the delivery room with me.

On choosing Delilah’s name:

K: I named her after the Tom Jones song, as I’d always loved it. Actually, Sophia had been at the top of the list and then I found out it was one of the most popular baby names, and that solidified Delilah; I thought it was unique.

On Benicio as a dad:

K: Benicio’s very involved; he and Delilah have a very special bond.

On motherhood:

K: I love being a mother. It’s the greatest experience of my life. It gets better every day. Delilah is starting to smile; she’s the perfect little angel.

On who she thinks Delilah looks like:

K: She definately looks like her dad, but she has my legs and eye colour.

On having a brother [Aiden] and a daughter with only a 6 month age gap:

K: Since they are only 6 months apart, I am counting on them being best friends

On what qualities she wants to pass on to her daughter:

K: Ultimately I just want to make sure she has good morals and is a happy person.
