Actress and model Camilla Rutherford features nine months pregnant in OK! with partner Dominic Burns and children Hector, 6, and Maud, 4.

Inside she talks openly to the magazine about her struggles of bringing up her two children as a single mum when her marriage to their father broke down while pregnant with Maud, her current pregnancy and thestrong relationship her children have with Dominic.

On if she’s more relaxed with this being her third pregnancy:

Camilla: Yes I suppose I am more relaxed. I’m not so attached to the books as I was first time around. But on the other hand it seems to be going on for a lot longer than the other two! Luckily, the gap is quite good.

On if she knows if she’s having a girl or boy:

C: We think it’s a girl.

On how traumatic she found it splitting up with her husband while pregnant with Maud:

C: [It was] a very traumatic experience, which is why when I met Dom, in the romantic sense, I was so euphoric. He comes from Ladbroke Grove and I grew up in Holland Park and I’d seen him round and about when I was growing up. I spent two years alone when my marriage ended, and when I met Dom I had a very quiet life, because I had a small baby and another child. It felt like a very long two years before I met him.

On if she found being a single mum quite frightening:

C: I suppose so, people have asked me that. But what can you do? I just had to manage my life and it was a very quiet one. That was probably good for me, having a baby. It is very difficult for single mothers and they do get quite lonely. A fair few of my contemporaries have not had children yet, but the small group who did have children would be with their partners on weekends. And then there’s the other group of friends who go to parties and have a life that isn’t applicable when you have children.

On how Dominic is with Hector and Maud:

C: He’s very good [with them]. I think it’s an amazing charateristic to love children that aren’t your own. I’m not sure if I would be as loving and open as he has been. He loves them and they love him and their relationship has grown.
