Joshua and Anna Duggar Welcome Daughter Mackynzie Renee

American reality TV ‘s Michelle and Jim-Bob Duggar have just received a very special gift — their first grandchild. The pair became grandparents after their son Joshua and wife Anna welcomed their first child — baby daughter Mackynzie Renee. She was born at home with both a midwife and a doula present on Thursday, October 8th and weighed 8lbs.

Michelle and Jim-Bob are about to become parents again themselves in March 2010 — to baby number 19.

Jon Cryer and Lisa Joyner Welcome Daughter Daisy

JC1Actor Jon Cryer and wife Lisa Joyner have welcomed their first child together via adoption. Daughter Daisy was born on Tuesday, August 11th.

While picking up an Emmy Award on Sunday, September 20th, the proud dad gave a little mention to his little girl during his acceptance speech. He is also dad to son Charlie Austin, 9, with ex-wife Sarah Trigger.

Terry Jones Welcomes Daughter Siri

TS1Monty Python actor Terry Jones and his girlfriend Anna Soderstrom have welcomed their first child together. Daughter Siri was born sometime over the last few weeks and both are said to be “estatic”

Although he is 67, the Welsh actor says he has a ‘”reasonable chance” of seeing Suri reach her twenties and that his decision to have a child with 26-year-old Anna was neither him acting “selfishly or unselfishly,” He said:

“Having a child who’ll be loved, to parents who love each other, is the important thing.”

He is also dad to daughter Sally, 35, and Bill, 33, with estranged wife Alison Telfer.

Ben Lee Welcomes Daughter Goldie Priya

BL1Musician Ben Lee and wife Ione have welcomed their first child. Daughter Goldie Priya was born at 8am on Thursday, September 24th. Both Ben and Ione are “over the moon” and have kindly posted a photo on their blog of their beautiful little girl.

JL1Actor Jude Law has become a father for the fourth time after Samantha Burke gave birth to their daughter Sophia on Tuesday, September 22nd. She weighed 5lbs, 12oz. Jude is also dad to Rafferty, 12, Iris, 8, and Rudy, 7, with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

CG1The Bill actress Claire Goose and husband Craig Woodrow have welcomed their first child. Daughter Amelia Grace Woodrow was born in a birthing pool at home last week and weighed 7lbs, 8oz. Speaking of her joy, new mum Claire said:

“Within a couple of hours, all three of us were tucked up in bed with a cup of tea and toast and spent every minute staring at our baby daughter. I don’t think it really sunk in she was ours.”

Lord Charlie Brocket Welcomes Daughter Amelia Florence Elizabeth

CB1Lord Charlie Brocket and wife Harriet have welcomed their first child together. Daughter Amelia Florence Elizabeth Brocket was born sometime over the last couple of weeks and weighed 8lbs, 5oz.

Speaking of his little girl, Lord Brocket said:

“[Amelia] has big feet and long legs, so she’s clearly going to be very tall.”

Baby Amelia is Lord Brocket’s fourth child. He is already dad to children Alex, Antalya and William with ex-wife Isabell.

Grant Hackett and Candice Alley Welcome Twins Jagger Emilio and Charlize Alley

GH1Australian swimming champion Grant Hackett and wife Candice Alley have welcomed their first and second children. Twin brother and sister Jagger Emilio and Charlize Alley were born on Friday, September 11th.

Grant was also back in work, presenting sport on Saturday night, after his parents arrived to give a helping hand for a few weeks.

Aiden and Megan Turner Welcome Daughter Ciella Larryn

AM1All My Children‘s Aiden Turner and wife Megan have welcomed their first child. Daughter Ciella Larryn was born at 12:20am on Friday, August 21st and weighed 9lbs, 13oz.

New dad Aiden also revealed the very special significance of his baby daughter’s middle name Larryn.

“Her middle name comes from Megan’s father, Larry Marshall, who died just two weeks ago after a year fighting cancer. We are very happy she arrived so healthy and so beautiful. We wish her Grandpa Larry was here to hold her.”
