Claudia Winkleman Opens Up About Daughter Matilda’s Horrific Accident

Claudia Winkleman has spoken for the first time about the terrible accident that happened to daughter Matilda Martha on Halloween 2014. The 8-year-old was out trick or treating with her mum and several friends when the outfit she was wearing went up in flames — causing severe burns on her leg.

 “It was like those horrific birthday candles that you blow out and they come back. It was really fast, it was fast, it wasn’t fire like I’d seen.”

The incident occurred after the outfit Matilda was wearing — a witch outfit with a hat, cape, skirt and tights — brushed past an open flame and was instantly set alight. It was only thanks to the quick actions of Claudia’s neighbour  Jamie Poulton who “picked her up and lifted her over the children, got her on the pavement and tried to put her out,” that her injuries weren’t more severe and stopped the fire spreading towards her friends. He also suffered second-degree burns to his hand.

“I was talking to somebody and then I heard her shout and she was on fire. It feels like she was on fire for hours, but the surgeon said it was probably just seconds. She went up is the only way I know how to describe it – it was a spark and she screamed out for me.”

Jaime King Reveals She’s Expecting Second Son

JK2Actress/model Jaime King is expecting her second child with Kyle Newman later this year and on Sunday, May 10th 2015 she attended a scan with friend and godmother of her unborn child Taylor Swift where she revealed baby on the way is a little boy. During the visit — which was captured on video — the star is heard telling Taylor “He’s sticking his arm out for you!’ To which she proudly exclaims: “Oh my god, that’s crazy!”

Jaime is already mum to son James Knight, 19 months.

Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg Welcome Daughter Ryan

HDHaylie Duff and fiance Matt Rosenberg have welcomed their first child. Daughter Ryan Ava Erhard was born on Monday, May 11th 2015.

Speaking of their joy, the new parents say they are “on cloud nine and so happy she is finally here!” While a rep for the couple has confirmed:

 “Both mom and baby are doing great. Haylie and Matt are thrilled to finally meet their baby girl and become a family of three.”

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Expecting Third Child

The Hills’ Kristin Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler are expecting their third child. The news was announced on the mum of soon to be three’s official app.

“We’re at it again! Thrilled to announce baby number 3 is on the way! The Cutler crew keeps on growin’!”

The pair are already parents to Camden Jack, 2, and Jaxon Wyatt, 1.

Natalie Pinkham Introduces Son Wilf and Talks About His Very Traumatic Birth

NP3Natalie Pinkham and husband Owain Walbyoff feature in a recent issue of Hello! magazine and introduce their beautiful baby boy Wilfred “Wilf” Otto, 3 months. Howver, unlike the usual introductions — Natalie’s story focuses mostly on the horrendous birth she had while delivering her son back in January. Until recently the star has been too scared to speak out about what unfolded. However, it was only whilst speaking to a professional, who suggested it may help her come to terms with what happened has she decided to tell her story. She hopes that by opening up about her ordeal it may help others who are or have gone through something similar.

Alyssa Milano Juggles Motherhood and Work But Has Learnt To Deal With The Guilt

Being a working mum can sometimes be a juggling act for actress Alyssa Milano, who is mum to children Milo Thomas, 3, and Elizabella Dylan, 8 months, with husband David Bugliari Speaking to Yahoo! Parenting, she said:

“It’s hard to juggle everything. Every day is a process and a balancing act, but I try to take every day as it comes. My schedule is sporadic, which is good because it allows me some real quality time with my kids. When I have business to attend to, I’m always aware that I need to get home as soon as possible or I feel guilty.

Although she does feel guilty because of her sometimes heavy workload, the 42-year old says she has come to terms with the feeling and where it comes from — thanks to therapy.

I have learned, through a lot of therapy, that a lot of guilt is pre-wired in a woman’s being. I think if you go back to the caveman days, we are wired to not want to be away from our young because they didn’t have caretakers then. They didn’t have nannies. We needed to keep our offspring safe, and I don’t think we’ve evolved out of that. We still have the biological urge to be with our kids, and to know that the guilt is coming from someplace biological, it helps. You realize, ‘oh, this instinct makes total sense.’ I think the same goes for dads. I hear friends complain that their husbands work even more now than before they had kids, and it’s because they’re hard-wired to want to provide.”
